Die cutting is a process used to cut sheet materials (paper, cardboard, rubber, plastic etc.) The substrate of the die is usually made of plywood and slitted by a special bandsaw or laser cutter to cut slits for inserting the steel rule die. The steel rule is a special blade with a hardened steel cutting edge.
In order that the the material not to get stuck amongst the steel rules the ejection rubber pads are adhered to the substrate.
